Italian Prime Minister’s visit

Asked what the Prime Minister (PM) will be speaking about with the Italian Prime Minister, the Prime Minister’s Spokesperson (PMS) said he would be talking about the importance of economic reform in Europe and competitiveness and geopolitical issues including the Middle East.

Arms sales

Asked if the PM would take another look at who the UK trades arms with, the PMS said the government already has one of most rigorous arms exports controls in the world.

NHS

Asked if the PM apologises for a smear campaign against Andy Burnham, the PMS did not accept the premise of the question and emphasised that where poor standards of care had been found in the Keogh report, investigations would be started and measures would be taken.
