Independent panel inquiry into child sexual abuse

When asked about the independent panel inquiry into child sexual abuse, the Prime Minister’s Official Spokesperson (PMOS) said the Prime Minister had been clear that he had full confidence in Fiona Woolf leading the inquiry and added that it was important that victims and the public shared that view in the work the panel will carry out.

Harry Roberts

With regard to the release of Harry Roberts from prison, the PMOS said that the Prime Minister understood the public’s strength of feeling that this case had provoked and the widely held view that the murder of police men and women who are on the front line protecting the public is a particularly heinous act. The PMOS added that the decision on his release was one made by the independent Parole Board.
