The Intelligence and Security Committee report

When asked about the Intelligence and Security Committee report, the Prime Minister’s Official Spokesperson (PMOS) said the Prime Minister would give his statement later in the day.

Private schools

When asked about private schools working with state schools, the PMOS said it was already government policy for independent schools to work with schools in the state sector. In the last few months, 18 new independent school partnerships have been set up, focusing on strengthening work on English, maths and languages in primary schools. He added that the government wants every child in the country to have the very best possible start in life, and the very best education, and part of that is encouraging this type of collaboration between different types of schools in the community.
