Prime Minister reappoints Trustee of the British Museum

The Prime Minister has reappointed John Micklethwait as a Trustee of the British Museum, for the 4 years to 31 July 2019.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

John Micklethwait is Editor-in-Chief of Bloomberg News, and was formerly Editor-in-Chief of The Economist. After studying history at Magdalen College, Oxford, he worked as a banker at Chase Manhattan between 1985 and 1987 before joining The Economist as finance correspondent in 1987. His roles at The Economist included setting up the Los Angeles bureau; media correspondent; running the New York Bureau; and editor of the United States section. He has appeared on radio and television around the world, and has co-authored five books. He was named Editors’ Editor of the Year at the British Society of Magazine Editors 2010 annual awards.
