Prime Minister reappoints Trustee of the Natural History Museum
The Prime Minister has reappointed Prof Christopher Gilligan as a Trustee of the Natural History Museum, for the 4 years to 18 May 2019.
Professor Gilligan is a plant scientist working on mathematical, statistical and computational modelling of plant disease epidemiology and ecology. He is Professor of Mathematical Biology in the Department of Plant Sciences, University of Cambridge, and a Fellow of King’s College, Cambridge. Until 2014 he was Dean of the School of Biological Sciences, and part of the senior management team at the University. He currently chairs the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, and the Cambridge University Strategic Initiative in Food Security. He was first appointed to the Board of Trustees in 2011.
