The Programme Team in Brazil is inviting submissions of project proposals to the Prosperity Fund.

Eligibility

  1. Project proposals must contribute directly to the Programme Strategy (PDF, 491 KB, 9 pages), supporting at least one of the key areas: Climate Change & Sustainability, Energy, Infrastructure, Education and Knowledge, and Business Environment.
  2. Fund is ODA (Official Development Assistance), hence, the primary beneficiary of the project proposal submitted to the Prosperity Fund must be Brazil (included in the OECD DAC list), in line with DAC criteria.
  3. Project proposals must be submitted in the Concept Bid Form (MS Word Document, 32.7 KB).
  4. We are looking for practical interventions that will lead to a real and timely difference to decision-making. Proposals focusing purely on research, analysis, seminars or workshops will not be considered relevant unless they lead to specific and measurable action.
  5. Proposals should outline impact. We want to know what changes the project will bring about.
  6. Demonstrate that the project will produce sustainable outcomes.
  7. Demonstrate that host governments have been consulted and are supportive. In case they have not, the project proposal should explain how the project has sufficient buy-in from the necessary stakeholders to deliver expected outcomes. Project proposals should trigger action, and results should be sustained after project completion. Experience has shown that an effective way to do this is to work towards high level policy change, on local policy development, supporting implementation of regulatory frameworks, building capacity, translating evidence or analysis into action plans, and working in partnership with host government.
  8. All selected implementers of approved bids must sign the Grant Contract (MS Word Document, 170 KB), in English.

  9. Process The bidding process is run in two stages: Concept and Full bid and only bids approved by the Concept Board will be considered for Full bids. The projects will also be able to pass the Appraisal Criteria (MS Word Document, 56 KB). Deadline to submit concept bids to the Programme Team: December 12th.
