Public consultation begins on Dounreay waste disposal application

Dounreay has applied for a new authorisation to dispose of radioactive waste.

Dounreay has applied to the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) for a new authorisation to dispose of radioactive waste under the Radioactive Substances Act 1993.

Dounreay Site Restoration Ltd (DSRL) has applied to the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) for a new authorisation to dispose of radioactive waste under the Radioactive Substances Act 1993.

SEPA will carry out a public consultation on DSRL’s application, beginning today and closing on November 30, 2012.
