Public invited to attend exhibition next week to find out more about A138 Chelmer Viaduct

Road users and local residents are invited to attend a public information exhibition in Essex next week to find out more about the construction of the new viaduct and the demolition of the existing viaduct in Chelmsford.

The exhibition will be held at Conference Room, Moulsham Mill, Parkway, Chelmsford, CM2 7PX, on Tuesday 17 March from 4pm to 8pm.

The Highways Agency project team, designers AECOM and contractor Graham Construction will be on hand to answer questions and explain the scheme, which is designed to increase the capacity along the Chelmer Viaduct, reduce congestion, increase safety and improve journey times.

Main construction work is due to start next week.

Highways Agency East Regional Director, Catherine Brookes, said:

This public exhibition will be a chance for residents, businesses and road-users to find out more about the benefits the scheme will bring and what they can expect during construction. We welcome the opportunity to speak to them directly and answer any questions they may have.

For those not able to attend the exhibitions, they can find out more about the A138 Chelmer Viaduct replacement scheme by visiting the scheme’s website or calling the Highways Agency Information Line on 0300 123 5000.
