Reappointment of Ian Deninson as a Non-Executive Director of Gov Facility Services Ltd (GFSL)
The Secretary of State has approved the reappointment of Ian Deninson as a Non-Executive Director of the Gov Facility Services Ltd (GFSL) for a period of up to three years, from 24 May 2024.
GFSL is part of the Ministry of Justice, set up in February 2018 as a limited, not for profit company. Its role is to provide facilities management services to prisons in the south of England.
The Secretary of State appoints GFSL Directors as set out in GFSL’s Articles of Association and Framework Document.
Appointments to the GFSL are not regulated by the Commissioner for Public Appointments. However, the process by which Mr Deninson was originally appointed complied with the provisions of the Governance Code on Public Appointments.
Biography
Ian Deninson is an experienced NED and chief people officer; he is currently a NED and Chairman of Investors in People. He has worked as a senior executive across a range of industries and sectors both internationally and in the UK and has held additional executive responsibilities for communications, health and safety, corporate social responsibility and shared services. A previous chairman of the Carlsberg UK Pension Fund, Mr Deninson also served as a NED on public sector projects at GEOamey and MTCnovo.
