Role
This exciting and interesting job puts you at the heart of the VMD’s Antimicrobial Resistance policy and communications team. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the coordination of VMD and Defra wide AMR groups, committees and stakeholder engagement programmes by providing quality administrative and secretariat support to the AMR team.
You will support the development and delivery of our plans and wider AMR strategy, supporting on the delivery of the UK’s AMR National Action plan and joining up the work across the VMD and Defra Group communications to ensure effective reach and engagement with all our audiences.
We are looking for you to have:
- Excellent organisational skills in planning and prioritising workload with competing priorities.
- Experience of working effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, or a demonstrable ability to do so.
- Experience of building positive relationships and establishing networks internally and externally with stakeholders, partners and colleagues.
- A track record of communicating complex subject matter to diverse audiences.
- Good analytical skills, plus excellent written and oral communication skills reflecting the need to explain complex policy to non-specialist audiences in a clear and engaging way.
- Strong Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
