Remembering the Manchester Arena attack

A message from the Security Industry Authority, seven years on from the Manchester Arena attack.

We are thinking today of the people of Manchester, and particularly those who were affected by the terrorist bombing of the Manchester Arena seven years ago.

We salute a city that has come together to support the bereaved and the wounded, and those who have striven indomitably to rebuild their lives following heartbreaking loss and injury. The many stories of recovery and resilience in the face of suffering are an inspiration.

Our top priority – and the reason we were established – is the safety of the public. Our promise is always to regulate the private security industry with that commitment in mind. We will continue to work with the industry, the Home Office, police, and others to ensure that public protection is at the heart of everything we do.
