Resurfacing work begins on A64 at Malton
The Highways Agency will next week (19 May) start essential maintenance work to resurface a two-mile stretch of the A64 at the Golden Hill junction at Malton in North Yorkshire.
The four week project, comprising resurfacing plus renewing road markings and studs, will affect both east and westbound lanes between High Hutton and Golden Hill.
In order to minimise disruption to road users, the work will be carried out in the evening and overnight between 8pm and 6am. The work will be undertaken using a convoy system of traffic control with a temporary speed limit of 40mph in place, dropping to 10mph while the convoy system is operating.
There may be a need to close the Barneygate Lane junction during the work. A clearly-signed diversion will operate via Low Hutton Lane into Huttons Ambo when this is required.
The work is programmed to finish on 13 June.
