Resurfacing works will provide smoother Journeys at M5 Junction 14
Overnight works will take place on Friday, 25 July and Monday, 28 July to resurface the M5 northbound exit slip road at junction 14 near Falfield, leading to smoother journeys for drivers.
The work will take place overnight between 8pm and 6am and will require the full closure of the northbound exit slip road. It will also be necessary to close a 300 metre section of the hard shoulder and lanes one.
Dave Sanderson, Highways Agency Project Sponsor said:
The resurfacing work is part of the government’s commitment to maintaining England’s roads and will ensure smoother journeys as well as maintaining safety.
The work has been planned to minimise disruption and that is why work will take place overnight when traffic flows are lowest but we would advise drivers to plan their journeys and allow slightly extra time.
The following fully signed diversion routes will be in place during the closures:
Traffic will be advised to continue on the M5 northbound until junction 13, then exit and return on the M5 southbound to exit the M5 at the junction 14 southbound exit slip.
