Revised Dounreay Planning Framework out for consultation

The Highland Council is looking for your views on the revised Dounreay Planning Framework (DPF), which is out for consultation until January 16, 2014.

The DPF was believed to be the first of its kind in the nuclear industry when it was first approved by the Council in 2006.

The Council uses the DPF as a land use development brief against which to regulate and control future decommissioning and restoration work at Dounreay.

Since then, substantial changes have been made to the site’s programme, following the change of parent body organisation in 2011.

The document outlines the expected phases of work to take the site to its interim end state. The revised document will be adopted by the Council as supplementary guidance to the Highland-wide Local Development Plan.

You can respond online on the Highland Council’s website.
