Road users advised of M6 closures for resurfacing near Stoke-on-Trent
The Highways Agency will be resurfacing the M6 between junctions 15 and 16 near Stoke-on-Trent from Monday 14 April.
Work will be carried out over 20 nights and will require a full closure of the northbound carriageway from 10pm to 6am Mondays to Thursdays, 10pm to 7am on Fridays, 9pm to 8am on Saturdays and 11pm to 6am on Sundays.
Traffic will be diverted off the M6 at junction 15 and take the A500 to rejoin the motorway at junction 16.
Highways Agency Project Manager Purnima Kaul said:
As well as resurfacing, we will replace road markings, road studs and bridge expansion joints. For the safety of road users and the workforce this needs to be done under full closures. We therefore advise people to allow extra time for their journeys and to follow the clearly signed diversion on the A500 around Stoke.
