Road users advised of overnight closures of M6 in Staffordshire
The Highways Agency will be replacing road markings and studs on the M6 between junction 14 at Stafford and junction 15 at Stoke-on-Trent from Monday 31 March.
The northbound carriageway will be closed for 10 nights from 10pm to 6am Monday to Thursday, 10pm to 8am on Friday and 10pm to 9am on Saturdays. There will be no work on Sunday nights.
Highways Agency project manager Purnima Kaul said:
Renewing the road markings and road studs will lead to improved visibility and safety for road users, but for that to happen we need to close the road. The work will be carried out overnight when traffic flows are lightest and we advise people to allow extra time for their journey.
Traffic will be diverted off the M6 at junction 14 and along the A34 and A500 to rejoin the motorway at junction 15.
