Salisbury attack: Foreign Secretary visits NATO Headquarters
On 19 March, the Foreign Secretary met NATO Secretary General, Mr Jens Stoltenberg at NATO in Brussels.
Boris Johnson updated Mr Jens Stoltenberg on the nerve agent attack that took place in Salisbury. They both spoke to the media and reiterated NATO’s support to the UK.
As the Foreign Secretary said:
The North Atlantic Council’s statement issued last week is a clear powerful statement of political support and demonstrates NATO’s unity, capability and determination to respond to the challenges that we face together.
We stand united in the face of adversity, be it in response to the attack in Salisbury or a threat to any NATO Ally, which is the founding principle of this organisation.
