Second visit to Angola for Minister for Africa
Mr Mark Simmonds, the UK Minister for Africa, will be visiting Angola for the second time this week.
The objective of the Minister’s visit is to launch the first phase of execution of co-operation between the UK and Angola.
During his visit, the Minister will raise questions related to the “High Level Partnership”, a partnership that the British Government intends to establish with specific countries looking to strengthen political support and, in terms of investment, re-launch relations with a focus on economic co-operation. Angola is the first of these countries to be visited.
Minister Mark Simmonds will be recieved by various governmental entities and will have the opportunity to interact with the British and Angolan business community, civil society and others during the reception on 25 June in celebration of the birthday of Queen Elizabeth II and of the 60th anniversary of her coronation.
