Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, Rt Hon Brandon Lewis MP CBE, today announced an additional £240,000 UK Government funding contribution to support the ongoing work of the International Fund for Ireland.
This funding, which follows on from a similar Government contribution in recent years, will not only assist with the Fund’s existing work to tackle the causes of division in Northern Ireland, but will help communities as they seek to overcome the unprecedented challenges created by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Announcing the additional funding, Rt Hon Brandon Lewis said:
“The provision of this additional funding is a clear demonstration of the UK Government’s commitment to support the vital contribution which the International Fund for Ireland continues to make to the lives of those living in Northern Ireland. The unprecedented nature and impact of the Covid crisis make the work of the Fund more important than ever.”
