Secretary of State attends GAA Final in Dublin
Rt Hon Theresa Villiers MP today attended the GAA Minor and Senior Finals
Secretary of State Theresa Villiers was in Croke Park this afternoon to attend the All-Ireland GAA finals.
Despite the narrow defeat by Mayo, Ms Villiers praised the valiant efforts of the Tyrone minor team.
The Secretary of State also congratulated the Dublin team who won the senior match.
Speaking after the game she said:
I am absolutely delighted to have had the opportunity to be part of this great sporting event. The warm welcome I received from the GAA on my first visit to this marvellous stadium made the day very memorable.
The Secretary of State is in Dublin for bilateral meetings with the Irish Government tomorrow.
