Secretary of State condemns murder of Garda officer

Secretary of State for Northern Ireland Rt Hon Theresa Villiers MP today spoke to Irish Justice Minister Alan Shatter to offer her deepest sympathies to the family and colleagues of murdered Garda officer Adrian Donohoe.

I was shocked to hear of the appalling murder of Detective Garda Donohoe. It was a senseless and cowardly act and all right thinking people will be revulsed by it.

I send my sincere condolences to his bereaved family and colleagues.
