Sellafield CEO moving on
After seven years at Sellafield, Martin Chown will be leaving his role as CEO in July 2023 to take up a new role in the private sector.
Martin joined the organisation in 2016 as supply chain director and was appointed CEO in 2020, leading Sellafield through important work including on the organisation’s culture.
At Martin’s departure, the current chief nuclear officer, Euan Hutton will take on the role of interim CEO, maintaining momentum and progressing Sellafield Ltd’s vital mission.
The Sellafield Chairman and Board will be supporting Euan in his new role, whilst overseeing an orderly transition of authority as the decision on a permanent successor is completed.
