Seminar: Towards a Capital Markets Union

The European Commission’s Action Plan for building a Capital Markets Union is vital to unlocking Europe’s investment potential and creating a more stable financial system. Spain and the UK are committed to working with the Commission to make the Action Plan a reality. Spain’s recent domestic capital market reforms can provide a valuable blueprint for EU action.

The UK, as one of the world’s leading global financial centres, can facilitate the alternative financing that European companies need to grow and thrive. This seminar, hosted jointly by the British Embassy and Afi School of Finance, is aimed at companies seeking alternative financing, as well as investors looking for new investment opportunities. It will also be of interest to government officials and regulators.
