ACCEA: senior appointments
The Advisory Committee on Clinical Excellence Awards (ACCEA) has announced the appointment of Dr Mary Armitage and Bill Worth.

Dr Mary Armitage appointed as new medical director
We are pleased to announce that Dr Mary Armitage has been appointed as the ACCEA medical director for a 3 year term starting on 1 April 2014.

Dr Armitage was previously a consultant physician and an endocrinologist at Royal Bournemouth Hospital, who held a Platinum award. She has also been medical vice-chair of ACCEA’s south west regional sub-committee.
Bill Worth appointed as new chair
Bill Worth succeeds Professor Jonathan Montgomery, whose term ends on 31 March 2014.

Bill Worth
Bill has been the chair of the North East ACCEA regional sub-committee for several years and has an extensive knowledge of the operation of the awards scheme. Before that he had a long career as an NHS chief executive in different parts of England.
