At NHS England’s recent Health and Care Innovation Expo, the Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP, Secretary of State for Health and George Freeman MP, Minister for Life Sciences joined Healthcare UK in welcoming 2 overseas delegations. These were led by Mexico’s Vice Minister of Health and the Health Minister from New Delhi’s regional government.

These senior decision-makers had the unique chance to see the best of NHS innovation under one roof at the Expo and visit Manchester’s outstanding healthcare facilities.

They saw first-hand how clinical services are provided in the UK, in both hospitals and primary care.

NHS hospital trusts including Salford Royal, Central Manchester, South Manchester and the Christie Hospital had the opportunity to showcase their distinctive expertise and develop relationships at the highest level.

Both countries are prioritising the development of their primary care systems and the visitors explored the UK’s world-leading primary care service at Boundary House Medical Centre.
