Statement by G7 finance ministers and central bank governors
Statement made 10 April 2014 in Washington DC.
G7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors met informally and briefly at the UK chaired meeting in the margins of the IMF/World Bank Spring Meetings.
The discussions covered the major and recent developments in the global economy; issues which form part of the wider meetings taking place this week. This included a discussion of the situation in Ukraine, its financing needs and the international response.
G7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors were greatly saddened by the news of Jim Flaherty passing. He was a greatly valued and forthright colleague and friend.
