Statement on situation in Yemen

Following reports that international diplomats are being held in the UAE Embassy in Sana'a by armed loyalists a Foreign Office spokesperson said:

“Our Ambassador is still in talks with other diplomats at the UAE compound in Sana’a.

The road to the Palace is blocked by tribesmen and efforts are being made to clear the road. We are keeping the situation under review.”
