The British Consulate General in Jerusalem supports projects that will protect vulnerable communities, build constituencies for peace and strengthen ties of friendship between the Palestinian and British peoples.

We run projects in the following areas:

  • Bilateral Project Support. Through bilateral funding we were able to help Al-Amal School for the Deaf in Hebron purchase 12 computers that are adaptable for the use of children with hearing impairment.

  • Conflict Prevention Pool. Through Conflict Pool funding we supported the International Peace and Cooperation Centre produce outline plans for 38 villages in the West Bank thus preventing land confiscation and house demolition.

  • Human Rights and Democracy Fund. Through this fund we supported the production of a code of conduct for Palestinian journalists.

  • Arab Partnership. Through Arab Partnership funds we supported women journalists from the Gaza Strip write stories, make videos and upload them on a website so as to highlight the living conditions in Gaza.
