The Crown Commercial Service’s market briefing at techUK on Wednesday received a warm reception as Kelvin Lee, Category Director for Technology Products and Services, presented the changes planned for the new Technology Products agreement.

After engaging with the market, the overwhelming feedback from buyers and suppliers was that they wanted an agreement that was easy to use and accessible - so Technology Products 2 was designed.

Kelvin Lee said: “Our aim was always to listen to our audience, take their feedback on board and generate innovative ideas that would help meet their requirements. The feedback from buyers and suppliers is that they feel they’ve been listened to and are pleased to see we’ve implemented some of the ideas they generated. We consider this a big success.”

One of the most significant changes with Technology Products 2 is the implementation of a separate catalogue option, which will make the agreement easier to access for buyers across the public sector and provide a simpler route to market for smaller supplier organisations.
