The British Embassy, Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and Shakespeare’s Globe theatre based in London welcomes everyone for a performance of Hamlet in Ashgabat on 14 November 2015 at 18:00 at the Alp Arslan National Drama theatre. On 23 April 2014, the 450th anniversary of Shakespeare’s birth, Shakespeare’s Globe embarked on a two-year epic and unprecedented global tour of Hamlet directed by the Globe’s Artistic Director Dominic Dromgoole that aims to take in every country in the world. This is a rare opportunity to see Shakespeare performed in English by a leading UK Shakespearean company. Entrance is free of charge.
