the Science behind CO2 Capture and Conversion
The Conference was an excellent space to discuss the role of science in limiting the rapid increase of CO2 at present.
The Conference ‘ The Science behind CO2 Capture and Conversion’ took place from 24 to 28 June 2015, in Varadero, Cuba. It was organized by Cardiff University and the University of Havana and sponsored by the Cuban Chemical Society and the Royal Society of Chemistry in the UK. The forum was a great opportunity for discussion among scientists of various disciplines to consider the decisive role of science in limiting the rapid increase of CO2, due to a greater dependence on fossil fuels during the last few decades. British Ambassador in Havana, Tim Cole, kindly welcomed participants to this event at his residence and underlined the importance of joint cooperation between the two nations.
