Two new projects with UNDP

Projects will aim to reform the Montenegrin judicial system

Signing of the Agreements

It is our pleasure to announce the official signing of the two project agreements –

Strengthening the capacities of the Ministry of Justice in the area of international legal assistance in criminal matters

and

Strengthening the capacities of the judiciary to fight corruption through the development and implementation of integrity plans

The Agreements were signed on 09 October by HMA, Mr Ian Whitting, OBE and Mr. Rastislav Vrbensky, UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative to Montenegro.

Both projects will be jointly implemented by the UNDP and the Ministry of Justice of Montenegro in the period from October 2013 until March 2014. The aim of the projects is the targeted reform of the Montenegrin judicial system in the areas of international legal assistance in criminal matters and fight against corruption, which will contribute to the implementation of the Action plans for Chapter 23 (Judiciary and Fundamental Rights) and Chapter 24 (Justice, Freedom and Security).
