UK Defence Secretary visits Oman

Oman remains a trusted partner in the Gulf with UK Armed Forces training with their Omani counterparts on a regular basis. On meeting the Defence Affairs Minister HE Sayyid Badar bin Saud bin Harub Al Busaidi and Minister for the Royal Office HE Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Numani, the Defence Secretary said: “We are grateful for the role Oman has taken during this particularly challenging time in the region and will continue to work closely with them other international partners to counter common threats. “Omani security is also our security and it is important that we continue to cooperate closely in the military, security, counter-terrorist and intelligence fields towards a common goal.”
