UK in Ecuador visit to Yachay, City of Knowledge

The Deputy Head of Mission and Consul of the Embassy, Tina Hamilton together with the Commercial Officer, Monica Ingarevalo visited the premises of the City of Knowledge Yachay.

On Friday January 10th, the Deputy Head of Mission and Consul of the Embassy, Tina Hamilton together with the Commercial Officer, Monica Ingarevalo visited the premises of the City of Knowledge Yachay, located in Urcuquì at Imbabura province.

This visit was conducted by International Relations Officer for Yachay, Danilo Moreno, who coordinated a 3 hour journey around the project to present the construction of the first planned city that will serve as a technological and research hub for the region.

British Universities are very much interested in working collaboratively with Yachay University, which will start classes this March. The Embassy will be pursuing potential links between UK Universities and Yachay.
