The summit will build on the interest generated for Welsh businesses from the recent NATO Summit 2014.
Organised jointly by the Welsh and UK Governments, this invitation only event will bring together 150 global investors, business leaders and senior government ministers. It will provide delegates with networking opportunities, a revolutionary technology showcase and opportunity to hear from experts.
Discussions at the event will include:
- strategies used by leading businesses to keep up with and use new technology for growth
- anticipating technology and the pull through into commercialisation
- methods used to commit cyber-crime and the work being done in Wales to respond to this threat
- development of new models of academic and business interaction
- the role of Wales to support technology developments and business growth
The UK’s science and innovation ecosystem offers substantial scope for the future. Using the UK’s expertise in technology is central to sustaining the UK’s economic success through business and industry.
The UK remains the number one destination in Europe for foreign direct investment projects with 14% more projects than last year.
Wales had 79 foreign direct inward investment projects in 2013-14, the highest in 24 years. This created or safeguarded over 10,000 jobs. It is this success the summit aims to build on.
