UK Minister for Europe, David Lidington MP visited Montenegro

On 3-4 February, the Right Hon. David Lidington MP, Minister for Europe visited Montenegro

The Minister met Montenegrin President Filip Vujanović, Prime Minister Milo Đukanović, Minister for Foreign Affairs and European Integration Igor Lukšić, Minister of Justice Duško Marković, other government ministers, NGO sector and media representatives.

During these meetings Mr Lidington discussed a wide range of bilateral, regional and international issues. He reiterated the United Kingdom’s support for Montenegro in Montenegro’s Euro-Atlantic ambitions.

David Lidington gave a speech at the University of Montenegro on 4 February. The speech was followed by a Q&A session. During his visit, Minister gave an interview to the state broadcaster.
