UK Minister for Trade and Investment visits The Netherlands
Lord Green delivered the keynote speech at the Lloyd’s Benelux Annual Maritime Dinner in Rotterdam yesterday.

Lord Green, British Minister of State for Trade and Investment, told leading Dutch financial experts at the Lloyd´s Maritime Dinner that the UK and The Netherlands have always been and remain important trade and investment partners.
The Dutch are the UK´s second largest foreign investors, measured by stock. In 2012 Dutch investment in the UK created or safeguarded almost 6000 jobs.
Talking about the Maritime sector Lord Green said ´businesses within the sector generate almost £19 billion to UK Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and directly employ 367,000 people´.
Lord Green also met with a range of business people to further strengthen commercial ties between the UK and the Netherlands; promote the work of the Netherlands British Chamber of Commerce; and exchange ideas with opinion leaders on the EU Digital Single Market.
