UK NSC appoints 2 PPVs for Blood Spot Task Group project
Successful candidates will participate in online workshops looking at modelling for rare diseases in newborn blood spot screening.
The UK National Screening Committee (UK NSC) was overwhelmed by the large number and high quality of applicants to fill the 2 patient and public voice (PPV) roles on its Blood Spot Task Group project on modelling for rare diseases in newborn blood spot screening.
After careful consideration, the committee has identified the 2 successful candidates who will participate in online workshops this autumn and next spring. Among other things, the PPVs will ‘sense-check’ discussions by bringing forward their own perspectives and experiences.
The UK NSC has also written to all the unsuccessful candidates to thank them for their interest and ask if they would like to be considered for similar opportunities in the future.
