UK official travels to Honduras to observe the electoral process
Elizabeth Green, Head of Mexico, Central America, and Cuba Team, at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) in London is travelling to Honduras to observe this weekend’s Presidential and Congressional elections.
Honduras Elections
Ms Green will join the observer mission of the Organisation of the American States (OAS) from 20 to 26 November. Along with other international observers, Ms. Green will follow the electoral process before and during the voting day, including vote counting. She will be accompanied by a member of the British Embassy team in Guatemala City.
Ms. Green’s visit comes at an important time for Honduras, given that for the first time in its democratic era, eight political parties are participating in the electoral process.
