The exhibition, called “Shared history, shared future” is run by the British High Commission in Islamabad – and will be on display from 1st December to 6th December 2017.

The British High Commissioner Thomas Drew said:

We launched our photography exhibition tour in Islamabad earlier this year. After it has toured over 15 cities in Pakistan and the UK, I am delighted to bring it back to the capital. The exhibition is a celebration of 70 years of friendship between our two countries – from our ties in trade, sports, politics, development, defence, education, infrastructure and culture to our close people to people links.

I hope many residents of Islamabad will visit and enjoy the exhibition.

The exhibition has been displayed in eight cities across Pakistan and will be on display in Multan later this month. In the UK, the exhibition is currently on display until the end of the year in The Library of Birmingham, the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow and the Manchester Central Library.

Throughout the year, the British High Commission, in collaboration with the Pakistan High Commission in London, has been organising events and activities to mark 70 years of friendship between the UK and Pakistan. Details of these events are regularly featured on the British High Commission’s social media channels.
