UK shows commitment to Kuwait aviation show with strong presence
The United Kingdom is reflecting its commitment to Kuwait by sending a strong government delegation and company presence to the inaugural Kuwait Aviation Show.
The United Kingdom is keen to encourage UK and Kuwaiti companies to identify areas of joint industrial and technological cooperation.
The UK offers a range of world class products and services across the military, security and aviation sectors. UK industry is keen to establish enduring and mutually beneficial partnerships with the very capable industrial and technological base in Kuwait.
The UK government delegation is led by Fleur Thomas, Regional Director in the Department of International Trade’s Defence and Security Organisation.
Fleur Thomas said:
Kuwait continues to be an important strategic partner with our armed forces enjoying a very close relationship, reflected in the decision by Kuwait to buy the Typhoon aircraft. The strong UK presence at the aviation show reinforces the importance of this strategic bilateral relationship.
I am also delighted that so many UK companies across the military and security sectors have identified Kuwait as an important area to do business and tie up with Kuwaiti partners. We continue to work together to help support Kuwait’s strategic vision 2035.
