Update on changes to UK Visa Application process in Montenegro
Information on how to apply and book appointment for your visa application in Montenegro
A number of applicants applying for a UK visa from Montenegro have not been able to make an appointment having completed their application. UK Visas & Immigration apologises for the inconvenience and concern that this has caused.
The visa section at British Embassy Podgorica closed on Wednesday 12 March. The new centre will open shortly after the 21 March under the management of a new commercial partner, Teleperformance Ltd. Please continue to exercise patience until the new agency is open and gives appointments. If you are in a hurry, you are free to apply at one of our centres in the region. Please remember to put the name of the country where you would like to apply at one of the first questions “Your location”.
Please note that once you have booked your online appointment, you must also register on the Teleperformance website. On the same website you can also pay for additional service such as Priority Visa Service.
Background
On 30 September 2013, UK Visas and Immigration, part of the Home Office, announced that the global contracts for UKVI’s Visa Application Centres overseas had been awarded to Teleperformance Ltd and VFS Global.
In Montenegro, Teleperformance Ltd will assume responsibility for receiving UK visa applications on 21 March 2014. More information can be found on our website.
Once the UK visa application is submitted in Montenegro, the completed applications, which will include all supporting documentation and the customer’s passport, will be forwarded to the decision making centre in Warsaw, Poland, where they will be considered by entry clearance staff. Processing target times will remain unchanged.
British Embassy Podgorica and Teleperformance Ltd staff play no part in the decision making process. We will be providing our customers with further information on the changes to our visa operations and visa enquiry services through updates on the UKVI website over the coming weeks.
