The Uzbek scholars will be studying diverse disciplines in the UK including Law, Economics, Teaching of English, Advance Computing, Public Relations and Global Communication Management, Climate Change and Development, Public Administration.
Mr. Edgar congratulated the new scholars on their success and presented the award recipients with certificates.
In his welcome speech the Ambassador noted:
Chevening offers a unique opportunity for future leaders, influencers, and decision-makers from all over the world to develop professionally and academically, network extensively, experience UK culture, and build lasting positive relationships with the UK. I am confident that this experience will give the scholars from Uzbekistan skills and knowledge that they can use when they return to the benefit of their country.
The UK Government’s Chevening Scholarships Programme is open for applications for the 2016/17 academic year.
