Villiers welcomes increase in NI jobs
The Secretary of State commented following today’s economic statistic release
Ms Villiers said:
I welcome today’s figures which show that the number of jobs in Northern Ireland has now increased by 41,000 since 2010 and that those claiming unemployment benefits has fallen by 25,000 since 2013.
Today’s good news coupled with the growth in wages, up over 5 per cent in the last year, shows that the government’s long-term economic plan continues to deliver for the people of Northern Ireland.
