Rt Hon Dr Liam Fox MP, Secretary of State for International Trade and President of the Board of Trade to visit Singapore
The British High Commission is pleased to announce that the Rt Hon Dr Liam Fox MP, Secretary of State for International Trade and President of the Board of Trade, will visit Singapore from 27 to 28 August 2018.
During his visit the Secretary of State will meet a range of Singapore leaders including Mr Chan Chun Sing, Minister for Trade and Industry and Mr S Iswaran, Minister for Communications and Information and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations. Dr Fox will also meet the senior management of Singapore’s sovereign wealth funds, Temasek and GIC. He will see cutting-edge UK technology in action at GSK Singapore’s pharmaceutical production facility and will discuss with Mott MacDonald about opportunities for UK business in development of infrastructure in Southeast Asia. He will also have meetings with members of the British and Singapore business communities and hold panel discussions with the British Chamber of Commerce Singapore and the Singapore Regional Business Forum.

Secretary of State Dr Liam Fox’s visit to Singapore is a great example of the strong and enduring relationship that Singapore and the United Kingdom share and continues the exchange of high level visits between our two countries.
During his visit, Dr Fox will reaffirm the UK government’s interest in an ambitious bilateral trade and investment relationship with Singapore, based on our shared commitment to free trade. He will reiterate the UK’s determination to deepen the country’s trading relationships with the region.
