VMD and Swissmedic agree collaboration on veterinary medicinal products
Memorandum of Understanding signed on collaboration on veterinary medicinal products.
Gavin Hall, Deputy CEO, and Raimund Bruhin, Executive Director of Swissmedic, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on collaboration in the area of veterinary medicinal products.
The aim of the collaboration is to promote understanding of regulatory frameworks and sharing of information. The focus will be on increased collaboration in the review of authorisation applications for veterinary medicinal products.
Gavin Hall, the Deputy Director of the Veterinary Medicines Directorate, said
this is another exciting and important step in the UK developing valued relationships with global regulatory bodies. We are working in a global environment needing global solutions and harmonisation. Our collaboration with Swissmedic brings benefits to both of our organisations and to the industry. We are providing greater opportunities to bring safe, high-quality and effective medicines to our respective markets.
