Wales Office Minister Alun Cairns welcomes Tech Nation report

In response the 2016 Tech Nation Report - the definitive assessment and guide of IT in the UK, Wales Office Minister Alun Cairns said:

For the second year running, south Wales has been recognised as one of the UK’s leading tech-clusters.

The digital sector has become an integral part of the Welsh economy and the rapid growth of many digital businesses across the country has confirmed our position as a hub of technological excellence.

Supporting our technology companies is a key part of our plan for growth - to create jobs across Wales and build a more resilient economy.

The Tech Nation report recognises the significance of the sector in Wales as well as the wide range of skills and specialisms that truly make Wales a Tech Nation.
