The ‘apprenticeships work’ themed National Apprenticeship Week 2018 (NAW 2018) takes place from 5 to 9 March and will be a week-long celebration of apprenticeships in England - designed to showcase how apprenticeships work for individuals, businesses, communities and the wider economy.

During National Apprenticeship Week employers and apprentices from across England will come together to celebrate the success of apprenticeships whilst encouraging, even more, people to choose an apprenticeship as the pathway to a great career.

The National Apprenticeship Week events map will highlight the array of events scheduled to take place. The events map from National Apprenticeship Week 2017 held information on over 500 events, including the launch event hosted by Barclays with Secretary of State Justine Greening; an ‘apprentice take over’ event at the House of Commons with over 150 apprentices; the Skills Minister visiting Crossrail and meeting apprentices and many careers events and business breakfasts across the country.

Sue Husband, Director, National Apprenticeships Service said:

The success of National Apprenticeship Week hangs on the fantastic support we receive during each National Apprenticeship Week we’ve run. We want 2018 to eclipse previous triumphs and we would encourage apprentices, employers and our partners to join forces and help celebrate the brilliance of apprenticeships.

Apprenticeships offer real career opportunities and National Apprenticeship Week 2018 will showcase how apprenticeships work across all industries, sectors and job roles, from school leaving age to older apprentices.

There’s no better way to mark apprenticeship achievement than by the apprenticeship community coming together and shouting loudly about the difference apprenticeships are making. Please use the resources we’ve provided to develop fantastic opportunities to applaud apprenticeships during the week.

Introduction to National Apprenticeship Week 2018

This year, a stakeholder portal has been developed to host National Apprenticeship Week resources. Stakeholders can access and download materials to help us promote the week.
