The Carmarthenshire based water technology company, Hydro Industries, have announced an exciting new partnership with Chelsea Group.

This innovative joint venture will see Hydro’s ground-breaking electro based purification system installed globally in Chelsea Group’s secure living and working accommodation, delivering a reliable and affordable source of clean water and waste management to those in some of the world’s most hostile environments.

The deal, which comes after a successful first installation in Mogadishu Somalia, was sealed in the presence of the Secretary of State for Wales at the iconic Principality Stadium in Cardiff during the Six Nations.

Secretary of State for Wales Stephen Crabb said:

This is a glowing example of Welsh innovation being used to help those most in need around the world. In the 21st Century, access to clean water should not be considered a luxury.

I am delighted that a leading Welsh company is taking action by playing a key part in bringing clean, healthy water to those that need it most.

Wayne Preece, CEO of Hydro Industries, said:

Our technology, and more importantly our people, based in Wales, have already proved their capability to partner with an organisation as successful and demanding as Chelsea Group.

This collaboration will enable Hydro Industries to further deliver our products and services to some of the most challenging and hostile environments in the world.

Stuart Page, Managing Director of Chelsea Group, said:

We look forward to this ever expanding global partnership between the two groups of delivering clean water to some of the toughest and hardest places in the world - it’s just our way of being part of solving a global crisis of providing clean water to sustain life anywhere in the world!
