Woodland walk dedicated to Dounreay apprentices
Dounreay’s apprentices have once again returned to Dunnet Forest to offer the community woodland trust a helping hand.

In July this year they built a new path up to the log cabin, making it more accessible to pushchairs and wheelchairs.
Jean Barnett of Dunnet Forestry Trust said:
The apprentices worked really hard as always and all the committee really appreciate their annual visit.
After a lot of discussion at our last board meeting we have decided to call the new pathway Apprentice Wynd and will erect a name plaque as a tribute to their ongoing support.
Earlier this year Dounreay Communities Fund also donated £500 to the voluntary group towards the continual upkeep of the forest tracks.
